People say to me, "Eradicate bad bosses? Eradicate is a very strong word, are you sure you want to use that?"

Too Strong, we'll that's my style.

We're well past the era where anyone should attempt to dismiss a female leader by saying she's too strong.

Strength is an attribute. Mental, Physical, Emotional, Spiritual Strength. That's goals.

Often enough, our problems with bosses come from weaknesses and gaps in experience and wisdom. I'm on a mission to cultivate the strongest leaders ever. And I want people to pay attention. Why?

Because in over 25 years working for and with corporations, for and with a variety of managers and leaders, I first hand witnessed how much damage a bad boss does and how rare it is to discover a truly wise and compelling leader.

With the leadership development industry, specifically global corporate leadership development, estimated by Fortune Business Insights to be valued at 34 Billion in 2024 and growing rapidly in 2025, well it tends to feel like we are throwing money down the drain.

So much spent, so few tangible results.

I think the reason is complex, as in human complexity. We reach adulthood through such a variety of lessons, cultures, experiences and knowledge.

We know that we can teach people the basics of strategy and managing a P&L through some of the actually great leadership training out there. And, thankfully, we've also learned to hone in on and train for professional skills, too.

The thing is professional skills like communication, motivation, adaptability, anything at all interpersonal, plus analytical thinking and problems solving, those sorts of things are not taught once and mastered. Same thing with leadership. They are not knowledge-only concepts.

They must be applied, practiced, honed. You need to receive feedback and coaching. And well, that's expensive and time consuming and so most people don't get that part. Thus, we end up with the soul-suck of work, where we hate what we do or hate the environment we work in and don't receive enough positive direction and correction.

So yes, eradicate is a strong word. And I hope it gets your attention and that you pass it to your friend because it makes you sit up and say, Wait, I am better. I can do better. I'm not a bad boss and I will develop myself and those around me for the betterment of us all.
